About
Elisa Thorn is a harpist based in Vancouver, British Columbia. She has been playing the harp since she was 9 years old and has a Bachelor’s of Music from the University of British Columbia. After graduation, she worked as a solo musician on board the Azamara Quest, performing in over 15 countries across Europe and Asia. She has performed with the UBC Symphony Orchestra, UBC Symphonic Winds, the New Westminster Orchestra, The Vancouver Orchestra Club, and Okanagan Symphony Orchestra, and various chamber ensembles and groups. She enjoys a busy schedule of teaching and performing at weddings, parties, and venues around the lower mainland.
Although a trained classical musician, Elisa enjoys exploring the versatility of the harp. She continues to experiment with the different sound colors for both solo harp and small ensemble music, currently focusing on jazz and pop styles. She is currently exploring as many different collaborative projects as possible, working with singers, drummers, rock bands, folk bands, dancers, theater, spoken word, and anything else she can get involved in.
